Fans have been waiting for a “Space Jam” sequel pretty much since the original featuring Michael Jordan came out. On Thursday, LeBron James gave fans a small glimpse of what they can expect from the new film, which is set to come out in July 2021.
James posted a boomerang video on his Instagram page, wearing a black hat with the logo for the upcoming movie.
For those who struggle to read backward, the movie title is “Space Jam: A New Legacy.” The new logo caused a big stir on social media. Some fans loved it, some hated it, and some were just there to read the comments.
Of course, many will use the upcoming movie as another log to throw on the fire of the LeBron-vs.-MJ debate.
In Space Jam 2, I’ve heard the martians come down and LeBron decides to leave his team and join them, but only for a 4 year contract. https://t.co/q797xknicN

Some are hoping the modern version will still include some of that ’90s “pizzazz.”
Let’s all hope Bill Murray makes a return for the sequel.
