The Madden Bowl will look a bit different in 2020 as contestants will be playing online due to the coronavirus pandemic, but the event will still go on.

And with other sports taking a hiatus, the Madden Bowl will get primetime treatment on ESPN. But if you’re a cord-cutter, don’t worry because there are other available streaming options for the Madden Bowl.

This event is the end of a long road for those competing in it. Madden Bowl rules

Even though the qualifiers all played different versions of Madden to get here, the Madden Bowl will be played through Madden Ultimate Team’s Salary Cap Ranked mode. If you’re new to Madden Ultimate Team, essentially think of it as an auction. Every player has a price with some being expensive and some being cheap. Competitors will have a budget and will have access to all available MUT content with which to create their team.

So if you’re a player who likes to run the ball, you’ll focus more on getting a good running back and a solid offensive line. If you like to pass the ball, you’ll focus more on getting top-tier receivers. Competitors will have 34 player items, made up of 2 flex positions and 32 mandatory positions that need to be filled.

Players will be competing with 5 minute quarters on All-Madden skill level with the competitive game style. Injuries are off for this event.

For a full breakdown of the rules, including small details like tiebreaker scenarios and more, you can view EA Sports’ official rules page
