With everyone cooped up in their homes during the coronavirus pandemic, ESPN’s “The Last Dance” documentary series on Michael Jordan could not have come at a better time, filling older basketball fans with a sense of nostalgia and teaching younger fans about the rise of one of the most iconic athletes of all time.
“The Last Dance” has become a must-watch live viewing event, with pretty much everyone except Ken Burns tuning in each Sunday. Last weekend the documentary had everyone on Twitter freaking out about Dennis Rodman and his relationship with Carmen Electra. ‘The Last Dance’ Episodes 5-6 trailer
This weekend’s episodes of “The Last Dance” will address several topics, one of which is Jordan’s last game in Madison Square Gardens as a Bull. He scored 42 points while wearing a 14-year-old pair of ‘Chicago’ Air Jordan 1s that were a size too small.
“By halftime my feet are bleeding, but I’m having a good game, I don’t want to take them off.”

Another one of the major topics to be discussed is the marketing revolution of “Air Jordan,” which dominated the 90s and changed the way athletes brand themselves.
If you watch until the end of the above trailer, it also teases the meeting between Jordan and Kobe Bryant, who died tragically in January. Bryant’s interview for the documentary is expected be aired in one of Sunday’s episodes.
‘The Last Dance’ TV schedule
Two new episodes of “The Last Dance” will air on ESPN each Sunday until May 17, 2020. The two previous parts of the documentary series can be watched before the new episodes premiere. For example, on Sunday, May 17, Episode 7 and Episode 8 will re-air at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. ET before the premieres of Episode 9 and Episode 10.
Netflix will roll out episodes in similar fashion for international viewers with two new parts hitting the streaming service following the live showings in the U.S.
